Stuart is a Chartered Surveyor with considerable experience of public sector housing development at a local and strategic level. Formerly Assistant Director of Development at a major RSL, Stuart was responsible for initiating, co-ordinating and managing delivery of a major development programme through a wide range of urban regeneration and development projects.
Since forming Levvel in 1998, Stuart has led the team’s efforts in developing innovative evidence based consultancy services, which bring about equitable and viable planning solutions.
In addition, Stuart has sought to utilise the teams unique skills mix and experience to apply consistency and transparency to national, regional and local housing and planning policy throughout the UK.
Stuart holds an Honours degree in Surveying. Before this he was one of the youngest ever to qualify as a Merchant Navy captain. When he can find time he still loves travelling and is a qualified scuba diver. Married with 1 daughter, he is currently learning Italian and has an enthusiasm for watercolour painting, which, he says unfortunately is not matched by his talent.

LEVVEL IN THE FUTURE
Levvel will be expanding and evolving their services as a response to the economic climate and as a consequence of the changed political situation. We will launch the new services and updated website in the summer. As new housing and planning policies emerge, we will be hosting more regional seminars, starting in the South West.
